802 show-stop - Nothing on Pallette, GDIPlus - Delphi 7

Been a client for a very long time.

New year so I thought I'd pop on the new release (from 7.7) - big mistake.

1. The autoinstall did not install half the stuff.
2. My applications still work.
3. My palette shows just the component for TeeOpenGL nothing else so cannot add or do new Techart apps
4. My TeeTree doesn't work as it wants v7
5. Ran the Tee8new.dpr - It is not happy with tcomboflat or tdraw3
it also does not know where gdiplus is... which is pretty unimpressive.
6. All my TMS applns also don't appear to work as you have introduced a snapsstyle which clashes with sscrollbar...

I would happily upgrade to v8 Pro but not if it is this ununsable. Please advise.

Hi Mortong,

We haven't found any show-stopping issues with TeeChart Pro v8 VCL except for Delphi 4 and BCB 4 users. Which IDE are you using?

1. Did you receive any error from the installer?
3. You should go to Project->Options->Packages, are v8 packages listed there?
4. This means Your IDE is still referencing v7 packages. You should disable them from the packages list I mentioned in point 3. Then you should go to Project->Options->Directories/Conditionals and check that no v7 paths are in the Search Path list.
5. Seems your v8 installation is not correct. You won't be able to compile this project until v8 is properly installed.
6. You could try again when you have successfully installed v8 on your machine. If the problem still persists then you should better check with TMS if their components support TeeChart v8.
