Re: How to use a polar chart for astronomical appliance

Hello, Re. The elevation Angle has its Zero Position in the center of the polar Chart. The maximum up to 90 degrees increase automatically at the outside of the chart. I would like to have the value of 90 degrees (Zenith) in the center of the chart and the value of 0 degrees on the outside of the ch...

Re: How to use a polar chart for astronomical appliance

Hello, The first part of the question: The Zero Azimuth Value starts at 3 o’ Clock position and increases counter clockwise. I would like to have the Zero Value at 12 o’ clock position and increments in clockwise direction. You can set the "Rotated" property (in the Circled tab of the Series in the ...

Re: How do create a working instance of TChart using GDI+ in runtime, in a non main thread

Hello, Running some tests on this without conclusive results so far. Tests here on a thread (class(TThread)) return inconsistent results (with failures to render to an image file) on x occasions but no failures in execution. Not happy that I have results to report yet so please consider this in-prog...

Re: Keeping the Legend Symbols the same size

Hello Ed,

Code: Select all

This concerns me about FMX though--no one here.
Yes, we were slow to react to your post. Workload doesn't always allow us to get to every post straight away; we should have noticed your post on the TeeGrid forum and moved it to TeeChart.

Re: TContourSeries: slowing down problem

Hello Friedrich, Yes, the https://www.steema.com/support/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3316 was an interesting discussion. Though many of the issues are somewhat different for Delphi, which is unmanaged and much faster by nature, it merits a deeper look. Your point about DrawAll could be worth investigation t...

Re: Misssing TChart.Panel

Hello, I'm not familiar with the use of TChart.Panel; There are classes that have a similar name, such as TCustomTeePanel or TCustomTeePanelExtended; These are declared in TeeProcs (that is normally a default 'uses' in the forms of a project using TeeChart). We'll need to see more specific details o...

Re: Fixed x to y ratio

Hello Errol, Check that your chart has had at least one proper repaint before running the method. For example, if I check this value, Series1.GetVertAxis.ParentChart.ChartHeight, in Form Create before the first paint, ChartHeight/Width return 0. If you run the code from the demo itself you may find ...

Re: TBarSeries - Problems on accessing BarChart Marks

Hello,

You need to set:

Code: Select all

  chart1.Series[0].Marks.AutoPosition := False;
  chart1.Series[1].Marks.AutoPosition := False;
otherwise TeeChart will not create/render Marks at locations that are obscured by others.

Re: TeeGrid with TComboBox Column and LiveBindings

Hello Willi, I've run a test to check it. Similar to the project linked here: https://github.com/Steema/TeeGrid/tree/master/demos/FireMonkey/Cell%20Editors Assigning the data to a ClientDataset, the combo to possible field values and another component on the form with LiveBindings, linked to that sa...

Hello Errol, The demo source may have been installed to your TeeChart installation folder if you selected 'yes' to examples. But otherwise you can find the source to that demo here: https://github.com/Steema/TeeChart-VCL-samples/tree/master/TeeNew (specifically https://github.com/Steema/TeeChart-VCL...

Re: Using DBChart with text data

Hello Errol,

It sounds like the ValueList Order may be what you need here.

Before you add the data, set:

Code: Select all

Series1.XValues.Order := loNone;
Series1.YValues.Order := loNone;

Re: z axis on gantt series

Hello,

An extra note on this. If you enable the DepthAxis it may help to distinguish between the different Series.

eg.

Code: Select all

chart1.DepthAxis.Visible := True;

Hello, Thanks for the feedback, that's useful to know. There are no specific properties that can be used to speed up ContourSeries, There are a few generic steps/suggestions that can help according to certain circumstance. - Chart AutoRepaint property. If false the chart will only repaint when you d...

Re: Using DBChart with text data

Hello Errol, Yes, you could use code similar to this: var vals : array of double; i : Integer; begin SetLength(vals, 8); for i := 0 to 7 do vals[i] := Random(10); Series1.AddArray(vals); end; You could send x and y arrays to the method: ie. Series1.AddArray(xVals,yVals); Regards, Marc
