Re: Wind vector plot with TArrowSeries

Hello jradke, This code simplifies a how-to. Add 3 ArrowSeries to a Chart and run the code in a button. My example calculations aren't up to much, just to give an idea. Y location ArrowStart gives height above sea-level, X ArrowStart location is the timestamp and the end of each arrow would be calcu...

Re: TeeChart crash with Japanese date/number/currency settings

Hello Tero, Yes, the not crossing-boundaries should be valid. Our understanding of best practice when researching use of GDIPlus in an app that hosts a dll is to use nesting. ie. with the test code it might look something like this: CRect chart1Rect(rect); chart1Rect.DeflateRect(0, 0, rect.Width() /...

Re: TeeChart crash with Japanese date/number/currency settings

A note on this to check. GDIPlusShutdown should only be called once as it unloads the library (would also affect GDIPlus for the entire .exe). It shouldn't be unloaded if a call to GDIPlus methods is made after the call. Another question. Your comment: consider switching back to GDI rendering becaus...

Re: Metafile rendered incorrectly, Bitmap is fine

Hello,

As far as we're aware, the proposed solution responds to the requirement. We do not intend to take this any further unless a note is raised on any particular aspect.

Re: TeeChart crash with Japanese date/number/currency settings

Hi,

I'm unable to reproduce the problem with the latest version of TeeChart AX and the test project you sent in. Can you confirm please if the problem as you see it shows itself in the test project?

With thanks.
Regards,
Marc

Re: java.lang.NullPointerException in com.steema.teechart.drawing.Graphics3D.pointInEllipse(Graphics3D.java:783) ~

Hello,

We'll run some tests, see if we can provoke the error.

Do you have any information about any circumstances that might help us get nearer to the setup of the original app? It's swt I see.

Thanks and regards,

Re: Ternary Graph Assigning the Weighting parameter

Hello Errol, You can custom position the Legend. eg. Chart1.Legend.CustomPosition := True; Chart1.Legend.Left := 150; Chart1.Legend.Top := 50; Re. "2. Do you anticipate introducing the ability to set the range on the axes?" There is no current plan to add Zoom to the Ternary but it can be investigat...

Re: Ternary Graph Assigning the Weighting parameter

Hello Errol, To get the Legend to display Series names you can use the LegendStyle property: eg. DBChart1.Legend.LegendStyle := lsSeries; If you wish to take further control of each Legend symbol, the following event would reproduce the standard Legend (as in LegendStyle := lsSeries) Activate the ev...

Re: Ternary Graph Assigning the Weighting parameter

Hello Errol, Thanks for the confirmation of use. I have emailed you the earlier test project you uploaded, modified to use the new TeeChart units (also included) that now reproduce the charts you have requested. Changes: - Multiple Ternary Series supported without need for custom Axis code ( http://...

Re: Ternary Graph Assigning the Weighting parameter

Hello Errol, We can add AddXY overloads for the Ternary if the values being used are percentages and don't need to be derived. Taking your proposal: Then if there was a procedure to calculate A% and B% from A, B and C and plot A% on the Y-axis and B% on the left axis, the results would be the same. ...

Re: Ternary Graph Assigning the Weighting parameter

Hello Errol,

Taking up your lead; to simplify things a little we're internalising code to enable multiple Ternary Series in one Chart without the need for custom code in the form.

Re: Ternary Graph Assigning the Weighting parameter

Hello Errol, Re. However, I have another question. In the test program (TernaryGraph_Weight.zip) provided earlier in this thread, the code is shown below. In this code, I do not understand how Chart1[ i ] is created. When I try to emulate this code, I cannot create an "apparent" array of charts, whi...

Re: Ternary Graph Assigning the Weighting parameter

Hello Errol, Re. Furthermore, I still do not understand why Steema did not use a simple X-Y graph with the Y-axis at a 60°angle, and with the ZValues parameter activated. TeeChart's Ternary is based on a 3 value plot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ternary_plot#Reading_values_on_the_ternary_plot Re. ...
