Conflict between TeeChart ActiveX v5 and v7

Hello,

I'll inquiry of you about Conflict between TeeChart ActiveX v5 and v7.

After execute a html page that use TeeChart 5.0, execute TeeChart 7.0.
There is a 'DAX Error' .

Test)
1. Delete All TeeChart ocx(v5 & v7) in System.
2. Execute teechart5cab.html (http://211.215.58.66/report/teechart/teechart5cab.htm)
3. Install teechart5.cab
4. In That Web Page, Execute teechart7cab.html (http://211.215.58.66/report/teechart/teechart7cab.htm)
* If you create new Tab or execute new web page, it could not occur.
* Sometimes, some system makes error even if creat new Tab.
* When use v5 and v7 in same System, the 'DAX error' occures continuous

I could reproduce it by:
1. Open IE8.
2. Open a new tab to teechart5cab.html.
3. Close the tab.
4. Open a new tab to teechart7cab.html.

Then I've tried with another browser that supports ActiveX, in that case I've tried AvantBrowser and couldn't reproduce the problem following the same steps.
Could you please check if the problem is reproducible in another ActiveX compatible browser?

You do not "3.Close the tab.", please.


We want you to test in same tab.
Follow this,

1. Open IE8.
2. Open a new tab to teechart5cab.html.
3. On the tab, opened teechart5cab.html, open teechart7cab.html . (not another tab)

Then, the problem will occur.
Check your Test again, please.

If we execute this test, don't we reduce this problem?
Do we have to open them using another tab??

In my tests I've seen:

No problem.

As said before. I can see this with IE8 but not with Avant browser. Have you tried with another ActiveX compatible browser?

Well, we thought that In any other browsers (IE8, IE7, Nascape, ETC) ,Errors doesn't have to occur.

We don't know our product will be executed which browsers and the error will be created which situations .
It seems to be created different from systems, but we can't find it exactly.
So, we want to fix this error.

Considered this situation, please.

Hi Seth,

I've tested your pages with more environments and I've seen:
- Under Win7 I could reproduce it with IE8 and Maxthon, but I can't reproduce it with Avant or Sleipnir.
- Under WinXP I couldn't reproduce it, even with IE8.

So I'm not sure that this would be a TeeChart related issue. Anyway, I've added it to the wish list to be revised deeper for future releases (TA05014967).
