Problem Installing TeeChart 8.04 into D2009

Hello

I have Delphi 2009 with the latest patches (as of Feb 1, 2009). I just tried to install TeeChart 8.04 into Delphi 2009 and ran into the following issue:
Upon running the basic installation - I am missing the file Tee8D12.*. The 12 version is there for all the other units - but not the Tee8D12 ones.
Has anyone else run into this? Is there a work around? Do I have to get a new installation?


As a note - the install.txt file has not been updated since D2006.

Which is the exact error message you get? You should check that new version packages are enabled at Project->Options->Packages and that its "Bin" and "Lib" folders are on *top* of the search path list.

There are no error messages...and least none popped up. The basic install runs - and puts all the TeeChart files into the proper directory. I then went and checked to try to find the TeeD12 files - and they were not there.

Hi Bradley,

TeeChart v8 Pro for Delphi 2009 packages are named after *Tee812* and *TeePro812*. Can you find such packages? You may also to try reinstalling TeeChart using TeeInstall tool shipped with the installation at C:\Program Files\Steema Software\TeeChart 8.04 for Delphi 2009 or using the TeeRecompile tool if you are a sourcecode customer.

Well - running the recompile tool solved the problem - but I am still not sure why it worked when I was missing what I thought was an important source file.

I have
Tee8D11.gdsgroup
Tee8D11.bpg

But I do not have
Tee8D12.gdsgroup
Tee8D12.bpg

Anyway - issue seems to be resolved. Thank you.

But you should have *812.dpk (Delphi package files) files.
