Problems with Default/Home topic

Hi,
I still have problems with the default topic when using the compiled collection (version 2).

The following shortcut is created when our product get installed:

dexplore.exe /helpcol ms-help://AdventurerLand.LabTechnology.NET /filter "LabTechnology.NET"

This shortcut opens the help browser. However instead of the "default topic" or the "home topic", the default home page (in the internet explorer) appears in the right panel. I've checked out other help collections and they work fine.

Again, you will find the latest release (TeeGofer 11-04-2005) on:

ftp://www.teechart.net/pub/adventureland

The zip file is password protected and the password used is the password (not the license number or customer number) you would use to download TeeGofer from the steema.com web.

We will shortly be releasing a new installer with all the latest changes incorporated into it.

I've downloaded the new file, but no lucky, the problem with the default/home topic is still there. I'm missing something?

The TeeGofer_H2reg.exe is not in the .zip file. I'm using this file to perform registration actions from my installer. Has it been changed?

Hello,

We've rechecked the TeeGofer version made available and it seems to behave correctly unless we've misunderstood some aspect of the problem.

As an opportunity to check the problem on a common project we:

1. opened the SteemaSimpleControl project
2. Set home/default pages
3. Compiled and registered the v2 Help

used the following commandline to open the collection:
DExplore.exe /helpcol ms-help://SteemaSimpleControl

The help collection opened at the configured page.

Please let us know if this test doesn't work correctly or if there is another aspect that we may have overlooked.

When I open my help collection, the home page in the internet explorer is appears, instead of the Default/Home topic. Don't know where is the problem.

Did you tested it with the SteemaSimpleControl project Marc mentioned in his last post?
