Compatible VS <> RAD studio

Post by MD » Fri Nov 30, 2007 11:10 am

Good morning,

I downloaded TeeChart for .NET for Visual Studio on 2005 (.NET Framework v2.0) for the installing in RAD studio 2007 (codegear), and it is OK this works in mode(fashion) DESIGNER and RUN.

It is very well . why a post !!

This question are strange,
1) The component Teechart Net is entirely written there l C#?
2) CodeGear leaves C# to the advantage of Delphi and C ++, Will go on To you to support(maintain) RAD Studio?
3) Made you something particular to make it the package VS comptabile with RADStudio2007?
4) Have change form Designer for RADStudio?

I explain:
In actual fact I have PB with another provider " DEVEXPRESS ", who does not like to support(maintain) any more this .Net component "APSxGrid" for RADStudio under pretext that he are not 100 % compatible with VS at the level of Designer.
and therefore is what this can arrriver with Teechart.net?
It is very serious for all developers Delphi.Net.

Thank you

Hi MD,

Please find below the answers to your questions:

1. Yes. However we also have TeeChart Pro v8 VCL which is fully written in Delphi and can be used in VCL Win32 and VCL.NET applications.

2. RAD Studio will continue to be supported by the TeeChart Delphi version.

3. No, I don't believe there are any special configuration aspects.

4. TeeChart .NET Form designer is standard across versions. However, please notice that WinForms in RAD Studio don't have designer support.

Hi MD,

Yes, it is fully written in C# managed code.
with VS studio?
Yes.
How made you since that RAD studio does not support the designer Form.net ?
That's not a TeeChart feature, it is a RAD Studio 2007 feature.

Yes, that's right.
Without any adaptation for Rad Studio?
That's also true.
Then why PB with other components as "Dev Expres", it is amazing!!
I don't know their reasons and the nature of their components. You might be interested in asking DevExpress support.
