dash-dot line styles unreadable

Hi Narcis,

I need black&white graphs for publications. That means that I need combinations of line tyes and point types to distinguish different data series. As it turns out, even relatively small (100 data points) data series make the dash-dot and dash-dot-dot merge into a dashed line.
Would you have any suggestions for this one?
Cheers

Hi Francis,

It works fine here using a dashed or dash-dotted line with 100 points per series in a 300 x 200 pĂxels chart. Could you please send us an example we can run "as-is" to reproduce the problem here? You can post your files at news://www.steema.net/steema.public.attachments newsgroup.

Hi Narcis,
I sent you an attachment via the address you mentioned. It seems to sit in the send box so if you haven't received anything, could you let me know?
Cheers
Francis

Hi Francis,

What causes this effect is too many points in a too small area, just try zooming the chart and you'll see that the line is still dashed. Pen style is native to GDI+ and as such we have no control over the length of the dashes.
