TeeChart v8 VCL Beta Released

I also would like to apply to v8 beta testing program. I am using TeeChart since v5 in my scientific and research applications. Now I just started to include TChart into one very big project and found several small but unpleasant quirks in TeeChart 7.08 (Delphi 2006 Pro). Before sending detailed report it would be nice to verify these problems with v8 beta.

Platform: Delphi 2006 Pro SP2, VCL, WIN 32,
Primarily testing under WIndows 2003 SP1 x64.

I would also be interested in the actual cost of upgrading to 8 because we are planning our 2007 budget and I would like to add it into our budget.

I've already sent you the information for beta-testing v8 VCL. We still don't know the exact cost of upgrading from v7 to v8 but I guess that it will be on the range of v6 to v7's upgrade prices.

I hope some of the issues I have with V7.08 (C++Builder) and Quickreport can be fixed...

BTW, I could not install for CBuilder 2006 before (TeeChart 7.07). Delphi 2006 was OK...

You should find the QuickReport packages for TeeChart in a paht similar to C:\Program Files\Steema Software\TeeChart 708 for Delphi 2006\Delphi10\QuickReport. Then you'll have to modify the packages references to your Quick Report version, compile and install them.

BTW, I could not install for CBuilder 2006 before (TeeChart 7.07). Delphi 2006 was OK...

I tried that (how to do that exactly I do not know) and got the TQRChart component to install.
BUT, I cannot use it in CBuilder (VCL form). It only shows up when I am using Delphi.

This is the exact same problem I had with version 7.
I am using QuickReport 4.06 for C++ Builder 2006 BTW.

Can you help?

I’m developing some big applications where TChart component is essential for me (specially area/line series). I’ve also made Polish translation of TeeChart, so you can be sure, that I’ll be detailed as possible.

I am using Teechart beginning from the version 4 and was beta tester of versions 6 & 7.
My base compilers are C++Builder6 and BDS4
