TeeChart 2011.04.41118 VCL/FMX release available

Greetings!

Steema Support Central writes to inform you of the availability of the latest TeeChart VCL release.

TeeChart v2010/v2011 VCL customers may download the version at no-charge from the customer download page via:

The release adds full RAD XE2 support and contains several new features, bug fixes and improvements. Release notes may be viewed here:

Can you confirm this new installer works with Delphi XE2 Update 2 ?
I have installed the latest TeeChart VCL package and I am getting a conflict message in my application and it says "Unit VCLTee.TeeProcs was compiled with a different version of Vcl.Graphics.clSkyBlue". Does this mean I have a newer VCL.Graphics unit than you used to compile the TeeChart package now that I have installed the new XE2 Update 2 ?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Yes, it was built with update 2.

No, this means your Delphi XE2 is probably referencing old TeeChart units. Please check that new TeeChart version search paths are on top of the library path list at Tools -> Options -> Delphi options. Another possibility would be that you have a 3rd party tool which uses TeeChart packages which should be updated to the latest TeeChart version.

Ok I will check that out although I did remove the references to the older paths as suggested. Perhaps I missed one.

Hi - I am not seeing the 2011.04 version on the customer donwnload page. I AM seeing the April 2011 (2001.03) version. Am I doing something wrong? Can you check if I have a valid license for this version? I suspect that might be the problem. My customer number is: B233212

Your TeeChart VCL subscription expired last June so you can only get versions published during your subscription period. You can upgrade it here. Please contact our sales department at sales at steema dot com for more information.

Hi,

Having problems with tchart and xe2 up3 coexisting.

Just installed C++ Builder Xe2 with update3 from the iso image.
Started Builder and created a test app, everything runs okay.

Using binary installer installed tchart 2011 xe2.
Told it to move all files.
Now getting the following errors when starting xe2:
Program can't state becuase fmi161.bpl is missing.
DclFMITTeePro916.bpl not being able to load because it was created with a different version.

Any thoughts?

Hi Phil,

It would be helpful if you could give us some extra information.
Did you have any other TeeChart installed before upgrading the IDE to Update3?
Are the other packages installed correctly (VCL, FMX, TeeMaker and TeeTree)?
Is the package for iOS listed in the packages list but not selected? What happens if you select it manually?

System is a Win7 x64.

I have C++ Builder XE & the latest version of TChart for XE installed as well.
I need to have access to both compilers while migrating applications to the new version.

"TeeChart Pro 2011 for Firemonkey iOS components" is listed but not checked in the Install Packages dialog.
I also have "TeeChart Standard FMX Components" & "TeeChart Standard VCLComponents", these may have reappeared after try to do a repair.
I did select to move all TeeChart Standard files in the installer.
So I've reinstalled TChart XE2 and am still getting fmi161.bpl is missing & the DclFMITeePro916.bpl is compiled with a different version of delphi / cBuilder.
I selected and installed all options when install xe2 up3.
However I do seem to be missing fmi161.bpl so maybe it's a problem with the xe2 installer. be nice if it could be replicated.

Hi Phil,

I've repaired my XE2 installation here having TeeChart Pro v2011.04 installed on it.
After the repair, I've opened the IDE and I get the following messages:

I answered "No" to both messages above and the IDE opened normally. I've visited the packages list and the Pro packages are still installed (the Standard packages are listed but unselected for me):

And the component seems to work normally in a new VCL, FMX or FMI application.

I'll try to uninstall TeeChart Pro, repair the IDE again and see what happens.

I've run TeeInstall.exe to uninstall TeeChart Pro. After doing it, I've opened the IDE to clean any remaining TeeChart path from the library, include,... lists (in "Tools/Options") and I've removed the "TeeChart for iOS" and "TeeMaker" packages from the packages list. I hope the installer can do it automatically in next versions.

Then I closed and repaired the IDE. After it, I could open the IDE with no error message. In the packages list, I see the TeeChart Standard packages listed but unselected ("TeeChart Standard FMX Components" and "TeeChart Standard VCL Components"). Checking them, both a new VCL and FMX applications with a chart on the form work fine for me here.

My system specs:
Win7 x64
delphicbuilder_xe2_4358_win_dl.iso

I'm afraid I can't tell you a date for the next maintenance release. We traditionally wait until we think there is a considerable number of new features and bugfixes to justify it. However, with the *new* subscription system, our intention is to be a little more regular.

Hi, but up to now the last version is not usable for XE2 (especially FX), and I am waitting for this.
