I am an engineer and will be using it for data processing applications...primarily XY scatter graphs with best fit curves (linear and quadratic). Ease of processing data from various sources(text files, databases, arrays, etc) would be a big plus.

I have narrowed down my search to teeChart 6 and Gigasoft ProEssentials 5 Standard.

I would like to hear from others who have recently gone through a similar search and tell me why they picked teeChart. I have downloaded the demo but it will take a while to determine the pros/cons on my own.

Thank you for your advice.
As you plan to use VB you are in luck, TeeChart is strong on Delphi and VB, examples and documentration for VB is good.

Myself I'm using VC++ and Teechart is weak when it comes to documentation of functions etc, and examples are limited...

Tech. support is good... that's the only reason I stick with it. :-)
