Re: DragMarks tool

Thanks - that first solution of setting the series property to nil is simple and it works. I would not have guessed that. What is the procedure to restore it to normal?

DragMarks tool

If I have several point series on my chart. By making the DragMarksTool active I can just drag the marks for the points in the last series. How do I make the marks for all of the series drag-able? The number of series depends on the data so it has to be done at run time.

Thanks again,

Jim

Re: labels for marks

Right, I don't want to display the marks - I just want to show their labels at the ends of some arrow series. The default seems to be to plot them centered above where the mark would be. I need them centered vertically but plotted to the right of where the mark would be (though for some plots I woul...

Re: formatting axis labels

One more problem: when using an exponent the axis labels do not rotate. At 90 degrees the axis moves up to allow the space for rotated axis labels but they stay at 0 degrees.

Re: labels for marks

Thanks but this does not yet give me what I want. I have attached a screenshot below. Two problems. First, It puts the labels to the right of the values that label each mark. I need the labels to be to the right of each point not the labels for the marks. Second, when I run the program the annotatio...

install failed

I just tried to install TeeChart on my office computer. After it asked for license and password the install stops with an error saying that this version of TeeCalc is not compatible with the version of Windows I am running. I am using Windows 10 Pro version 1703. I tried to upload a screenshot of th...

labels for marks

What is the best way to position the labels for point marks so that the string is centered at the same height as the mark and the left end of the string is just a little to the right of the mark? I have been trying to do the computations in pixels and then convert to user units but that seems like t...

formatting axis labels

In the TeeChart Pro v2017 VCL/FMX library reference and user guide it shows using an exponent as follows: TChart1.Axis.Left.Labels.Exponent:=True ; TChart1.Axis.Left.Labels.ValueFormat:="00e-0" ; However, that variable does not seem to exist. I did find that I could use the following to provide the ...

Re: zoom chart

Perhaps you could answer a few questions. Is it possible to make changes to the ChartRect? To make an isometric plot keeping user specified scales for X and Y one needs to adjust the lengths of the axes. The procedures I downloaded from the forum make adjustments to the chart.width and chart.height ...

Re: zoom chart

I was really counting on the problem would be solved by now. It is a very fundamental issue for many scientific and engineering applications. I have now invested so much time in creating the various plots needed in my software it would be difficult to now convert to some other graphics package - but...

Re: zoom chart

Excellent - that works! Now the main problem i have put off trying to solve is getting isometric axes for a 3D point plot. I downloaded the MakeIso3DAxis procedure from this forum in a posting a few years ago. It can create isometric axes but then it always greatly expands the scale for the axes so...

Re: zoom chart

Thanks must be some additional settings needed as it does not work for me - it still zooms the data and not the chart. I am now using chart.Zoom.Allow := true; Chart.Zoom.MouseWheel := pmwNormal; chart.ZoomWheel := pmwNormal; Chart.BottomAxis.LabelStyle := talValue; Without Chart.Panning.MouseWheel ...

zoom chart

When I open the plot edit tool in my program, I find that under chart | general | mouse one can select 'zoom chart' in the wheel group box (see screenshot below). How can one do this programmatically? I have found I can modify properties such as: Chart.Zoom.allow := true; Chart.Panning.MouseWheel :=...
