Maybe interesting introduces range options to improve the logarithmic axes labels.

E.g options to label as follows - depending on range: 
Option 1: 1,10,100,1000...
Option 2: 1,3,10,30,100...
Option 3: 1,2,5,10,20,50,100...
Option 4: 1,2,4,7,10,20,40...
Option 5: 1,2,3,5,8,10,20,30...
Option 9: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,20,30,...
